Mental health at work is a critical topic yet one very hard to discuss and manage effectively given constraints in our environment. This train-the-trainer session will give fact sheets, tips and approaches to tackling these conversations with your supervisory team. Educating front line supervisors is critical to dispelling myths and helping employees be as productive as possible.

- Examining factors regarding mental health in the workplace today
- Identifying actions to help increase supervisor awareness and dispel myths
- Reviewing a variety of approaches to address a range of mental health issues on the job
Dr. Celina Peerman serves as an organizational behavior specialist with over 22 years of experience in HR. She is passionate about engaging human resources in order to achieve even better organizational results. Celina’s focus is to provide quality training and services that directly contributes to better service for all stakeholders, the retention of front-line staff and strength of first-line supervisors. Her passion is for how people behave at work; the good, the bad and the worst. Celina’s style has been described as dynamic noting the ability to draw in even the most resistant attendees through real life examples and humor.
Jan Heidemann, LBSW, has joined the Peerman Group as a licensed social worker with over 20 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse services. Currently she serves at the regional level as the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Coordinator and locally as Case Management Director. She is passionate about helping employers support health and well-being for employees with a special focus on balancing the employer/employee needs when it comes to mental health, stress and substance abuse awareness.
