Presented By: Jim Cushing
Today, about 16% of Iowa’s population is 65 or older. By 2030, 21% will be 65 of older. An aging population puts more responsibility on employees who are filling a key role called…caregiver. Caregivers, over 320,000 and growing, support a family member or friend on the life journey and…usually work full-time. How can organizations support the working caregiver and ensure workplace success? This session will explore strategies to create balance and meet everyone’s needs.
Learning objectives for this session include:
- Discuss the role of the employee caregiver and learn about what a caregiver faces supporting family or friends
- Discover resources available for caregivers and employees to make good choices and lessen the burden of caregiving
- Glean strategies to support employee and organization needs
